“Duo, what the hell are you doing?”
“Just coming up behind you with a hug, man. You know?”
“No, I don’t know.”
“Everyone does it. Signs of affection. Reach out and touch.”
“Reach out and…”
“Hey, don’t tense up like that! It’s better when you’re all warm and cosy.”
“It’s better…? No, wait a minute, I’m not entirely comfortable with this.”
“Huh? You feel nice and comfortable…”
”Duo, that’s because you’re leaning on me like a cushion. Duo?”
“Huh? Sorry, I nearly dropped off for a snooze there. So what’s not to like?”
“Well, I just… well, we’re men, right?!”
“Uh-huh. So says my bulge that’s snuggled up between your buns. Any more of your wriggling and it’ll be reaching for the change in your back pocket.”
“What the-! Do you have to be so coarse?”
“Yep. Works for me.”
“But shouldn’t the hugs be for…?”
“Spit it out, Heero. For bunnies? For life, not just for Christmas? For auld lang syne?”
“I meant for girls. For children. You know.”
“Not big, tough guys?”
“Something like that. Though now you say it…”
“Do you?”
“Do I what?”
“Hug girls and kids?”
“Well, of course not, but we’re not talking about me…”
“Well, neither do I.”
“Neither do you what?”
“Keep up, Heero. Neither do I hug girls and kids.”
“Well, yes, I think that’s what I was about to say.”
“I just like to hug you, Heero.”
“I can see that. I just…I’m still not sure.”
“Tell me how it feels.”
“What do you mean, how it feels? You creep up behind me and grab me around the waist and make me drop my refreshments all over my keyboard -”
“Sugar, Heero, that’s all. It won’t do too much harm if you brush it off. Sugar from a donut - your third, I believe.”
“Hn. You still startled me.”
“So it’s startling?”
“What is -? Oh right, the hugging. A little. But not… unpleasantly so.”
“It’s pleasant?”
“Yes. Actually very pleasant. Very…”
“Hmm?”
“Duo, don’t nuzzle at me like that, I’m not a donut myself. It’s… warming, I suppose. Your arms are comforting. Your body pressed against mine…stimulating.”
“Like that last one, Heero. Like it a lot.”
“Hn. I gathered that, from the way your bulge is…”
“Yeah. I’m reaching for the change, right now.”
“And you’re nuzzling. Even more. Is that all part of the hugging?”
“Package deal, Heero. Buy one, get one free. That feels good, too?”
“Hmm. I’d say so. It feels… sweet.”
“Turn around now and say that to me.”
“I don’t see why… all right… wait… no… ouch. OK. Dammit, that bulge is obtrusive, isn’t it?”
“You say the cutest things. So say another.”
“This is sweet, Duo. You hugging me. Very sweet.”
“Better than the donut?”
“Now wait a minute, I’m not sure I’d go quite that far -”
“…”
“Duo…”
“Hmmmm?”
“Is that another sign of affection?”
”Is what?”
“Duo, now you need to pay attention. You know I mean the kissing thing.”
“Startled you, did it?”
“Maybe not as much as you expected.”
“Huh? You mean…”
“It feels sweet. Yes. In fact, I might just -”
“Heero, what the hell -?”
“Just reaching out and touching, Duo. Just…”
“Omigod. Omigod.”
“…”
“Sweet, Duo?”
“Tooootally.”
“Sweeter than the donuts?”
“Dunno, you ate ‘em all. But the kissing was sweet in its own way. Very much so.”
“Good. I like kissing”
“Not girls and kids?”
“No. Just you, Duo.”
“Hey, result all around. I’d say we both found that pretty stimulating.”
“You’d say that, would you?”
“Not me, bud. The bulge says so.”
“Your adventurous bulge -?”
“Oh dear me, no. Not mine.”
“…?”
“Yours, Heero. Very much so!”
